Allow 60cm to 70cm of edge per person and leave room to pull a chair back. A 180cm rectangular table seats six comfortably, eight at a squeeze, and the squeeze is always more obvious in the room than on the plan.

The question to ask on anything over about 160cm. Post and pedestal bases keep the edge clear; box and sled frames are more stable but put a leg somewhere. The specification tab and the photographs show the positions.

Express delivery is offered on much of the range, priced per item on the product page, and gets an order to you within two working days if you place it before 5pm. Four of the 12 products here are made to order rather than stocked, and those take 10 to 15 working days. The product page says which, and shows the date it will arrive by before you pay.

Guarantees across this selection run from 5 to 10 years, depending on the product and the part, and the figure is on every product page. Structure, mechanism, electrics, and fabric and foam are often covered for different lengths of time. If something fails inside the warranty, report it from your order page and we deal with the manufacturer for you.

Five of the 12 products in this selection have a 3D model on the page rather than only photographs. The viewer spins the actual model, and changing a colour or a size on the page changes the model with it, which is worth doing before committing a whole room to a finish.

On stocked items, yes: tell us within 14 days of receiving them and raise it from your order page, with the goods unused and back in their packaging. Two of the 12 products here are made to order, though, and those cannot be cancelled once acknowledged or returned because you have changed your mind. Each product page says which it is before you buy.
