Breakout Tables
Breakout tables for the work between meetings - where laptops open, ideas circulate and coffee cools.
Somewhere between the desk and the meeting room sits the breakout table: an informal surface where two colleagues untangle a problem, a laptop finds an hour's change of scenery, or a working lunch actually works. No booking system, no agenda, and quite often the most productive furniture on the floor.
Our breakout tables mix heights, shapes and colours deliberately - breakout spaces earn their keep partly by not looking like the rest of the office. Power access on many designs keeps the laptops loyal, and hard-wearing tops handle the coffee that is, frankly, the fuel of the whole enterprise.
Frequently asked questions
What makes a breakout table different?
Size and shape. These are smaller and lighter than meeting tables, in shapes that group: trapeziums and semi-circles that push together, circles and squares that stand alone. 7 here from £48, meant for the spaces between the formal rooms.
Should breakout tables be standard or poseur height?
Standard height if people will sit and work. Poseur height if the point is a quick stand-up conversation, because a high table keeps meetings short in a way no agenda manages. Plenty of offices want both in the same space.
Can they be pushed together?
The trapezium and semi-circle tops are designed for it, and that is what they are for: a cluster for four, a long run for a workshop, back to separate tables by Friday. Buy the shapes that combine rather than a set of squares if the layout will change.
How long does delivery take?
Standard delivery is free on everything, and most of it lands inside a week. Express delivery is offered on much of the range, priced per item on the product page, and gets an order to you within two working days if you place it before 5pm. Nothing here is made to order, so the lead times are the standard ones.
Do you offer installation?
Yes, on everything here. The crew deliver it, build it, put it where you want it and take the packaging away. It starts at £25.95 an item and the exact price is on each product page. Installs usually happen within about 10 working days, and the team agree the day with you rather than simply turning up.
Does it come assembled?
Most of it arrives flat-packed, with the instructions and fittings in the box. If you would rather not build it, pre-assembled delivery and installation are offered on much of the range and priced per item on the product page.
What warranty does it come with?
Guarantees across this category run to 5 years, depending on the product and the part, and the figure is on every product page. Structure, mechanism, electrics, and fabric and foam are often covered for different lengths of time. If something fails inside the warranty, report it from your order page and we deal with the manufacturer for you.
Can I see it in 3D?
Two of the 7 products in this category have a 3D model on the page rather than only photographs. The viewer spins the actual model, and changing a colour or a size on the page changes the model with it, which is worth doing before committing a whole room to a finish.
Can you quote for a whole office?
Yes. For twenty items or more, or anything with a complication like a mezzanine or a lift that argues back, we plan the job and give you one quote covering the goods, delivery and installation. Ring 0208 138 0512 or email [email protected] with a rough list or a floor plan.
