A repeatable circle of quiet

Echo builds overhead, bouncing between hard ceiling and hard floor until a busy room sounds twice as busy as it is. The Shade Type B hangs in that airspace and absorbs sound from every direction, its circular felt band presenting an absorbing face wherever the noise comes from. Because these 60cm circular acoustic ceiling baffles all share one diameter, a run of them across a ceiling looks deliberate and ordered, which is precisely the point of the Shade design.

One diameter, four drops

Choose a drop of 15cm, 30cm, 45cm or 60cm to suit the ceiling height and the noise level. A shallow 15cm band sits discreetly above a meeting table; a full 60cm drop puts serious felt in the air over a loud open-plan floor. Mixing drops across a room adds movement overhead without a single change of footprint below.

Recycled felt, designed and manufactured within the UK

The 12mm PET felt is made from 100% recycled materials meeting GRS standards, carries Class B fire performance with a d0 rating, and the baffles are designed and manufactured within the UK. Ten colours cover the range from Oatmeal Beige, Pebble Light Grey and Raven Black to Poppy Red, Cobalt Blue and Buttercup Yellow, so the ceiling can whisper or shout while the room itself gets quieter.

    Bigger is better here

    We started with the smaller baffles and added these 60cm ones, which do noticeably more. Same finish, so they hang together fine.
