Stacking & Folding Chairs
Stacking and folding chairs by the dozen that vanish into a cupboard afterwards - for events, training and busy halls.
Some rooms need forty seats on Tuesday and none on Wednesday. Stacking chairs and folding chairs are the answer: proper, comfortable seating that stacks in columns or folds flat, then disappears into a store cupboard until the next all-hands, training day or slightly ambitious Christmas do.
The virtues are practical - light enough to move in armfuls, tough enough to survive being moved in armfuls, and compatible with trolleys that shift a roomful at a time. Buy once, deploy endlessly.
Frequently asked questions
When is stacking worth it?
Any room with two jobs. A canteen that becomes an all-hands space, a hall that hosts a class on Tuesday and a committee on Thursday, a meeting room that occasionally has to seat thirty. 14 chairs here from £25.
How high do they stack?
It varies by model and the page gives the number. As a rule of thumb, do not stack higher than the person who has to lift the top one off. If you are storing a lot of them, a stacking trolley is worth more than another metre of height.
Where do I put them?
Work that out before you buy, because it is the step everyone skips. A stack of forty chairs takes real floor space and needs a route to get there that is not a fire door. Measure the cupboard first.
Are they comfortable enough?
For their rating, yes, and that rating is usually four to eight hours depending on the model. A chair designed to stack cannot also be a padded armchair, so if people will be sitting through a three-hour AGM, pick from the upholstered end of the range rather than the lightest one.
How long does delivery take?
Standard delivery is free on everything, and most of it lands inside a week. Express delivery is offered on much of the range, priced per item on the product page, and gets an order to you within two working days if you place it before 5pm. Six of the 14 products here are made to order rather than stocked, and those take 10 to 15 working days. The product page says which, and shows the date it will arrive by before you pay.
Do you offer installation?
Yes, on thirteen of the 14 products here. The crew deliver it, build it, put it where you want it and take the packaging away. It starts at £17.95 an item and the exact price is on each product page. Installs usually happen within about 10 working days, and the team agree the day with you rather than simply turning up.
Does it come assembled?
A good deal of it arrives ready to use rather than flat-packed, which is common on steel products. Where something does need building, the instructions and fittings are in the box, and pre-assembled delivery or installation can be picked at checkout instead.
What warranty does it come with?
Each product carries the manufacturer's warranty and the period is stated on that product's page, often broken down by part: the structure for one length of time, the mechanism and the fabric for another. If something fails inside the warranty, report it from your order page and we deal with the manufacturer for you.
Can I see it in 3D?
Ten of the 14 products in this category have a 3D model on the page rather than only photographs. The viewer spins the actual model, and changing a colour or a size on the page changes the model with it, which is worth doing before committing a whole room to a finish.
Can I change my mind after ordering?
On stocked items, yes: tell us within 14 days of receiving them and raise it from your order page, with the goods unused and back in their packaging. Five of the 14 products here are made to order, though, and those cannot be cancelled once acknowledged or returned because you have changed your mind. Each product page says which it is before you buy.
Can you quote for a whole office?
Yes. For twenty items or more, or anything with a complication like a mezzanine or a lift that argues back, we plan the job and give you one quote covering the goods, delivery and installation. Ring 0208 138 0512 or email [email protected] with a rough list or a floor plan.
