A backrest curved where backs curve

Flat backrests are why people fidget through meetings. The Metro's extra-large mesh back is curved to support the lumbar region, so visitors sit into it rather than against it, and the open weave keeps air moving through a warm conference room. At 44cm wide and 41cm high it supports a good spread of shoulders, and the secure squared mesh panel keeps its tension sit after sit.

Engineered like it means it

Paramount comfort is only half the Metro's pitch; the other half is quality engineering. The black nylon square tubed frame is a classic design for a reason, planting itself squarely on the floor and shrugging off the knocks of a busy meeting room. Fixed nylon armrests are built in rather than bolted on, and at 18.5kg with a 115kg maximum weight capacity, this is a visitor chair with genuine substance behind it.

When the room needs clearing, the Metro stacks up to four high, so a conference layout becomes open floor without a trip to the storeroom. The airmesh seat pad comes in stock black fabric or one of 20 bespoke colourways: hard-wearing Rivet, or Quest, made using yarn spun from plastic bottles reclaimed from our oceans for a more sustainable approach.

    Stacks and it has arms

    Mesh back stacking chair with arms, which is an unusual combination and exactly what we needed. Stack five high. Mesh is comfortable for a meeting length sit.
