Straight lines, top to bottom

A square top over a cross base is a tidy piece of visual logic: the four arms of the base echo the four edges of the top, so the table reads as one deliberate shape rather than a top balanced on whatever was in the warehouse. In black or white steel effect, with the pillar to match, it holds its own in a designed interior while the weighted base does the quiet work of keeping everything planted at bar height.

    Square top, plenty of room

    Square poseur suits four people better than a round one of the same size. Cross base is solid. We have two in the breakout area and they get used every lunchtime.
