One continuous sweep of a chair

Most executive chairs are assembled; the Xenon is composed. The backrest flows down into slim, shaped arms that wrap round to meet the underside of the seat, so the whole chair reads as a single sculpted form rather than a frame with panels attached. High density moulded foam gives the seat and backrest firm, lasting comfort, and the contoured lumbar support is built into the shape of the shell itself, so the lower back is supported from the moment you sit. Its namesake is a noble gas; the chair trades on the same sort of quiet distinction.

A knee tilt that looks after your legs

The mechanism under the seat is a high quality knee tilt with adjustable tilt tension: recline is smooth, matched to your build, and designed to avoid the pressure on the upper legs that a basic tilt can cause. An infinite lock holds the recline at any angle you choose, the anti-shock function stops the backrest springing back when you release it, and gas height adjustment sets the seat anywhere between 45cm and 53.5cm.

Two back heights, twenty one colourways

Choose the medium back for a lower profile or the high back for fuller shoulder support, then make the upholstery your own. Black fabric keeps it classic, eight named colourways run from Myrrh Green to Tabasco Orange, the Rivet collection adds four hard-wearing weaves, and eight Quest shades are made using yarn spun from reclaimed plastic bottles for the more sustainable choice. A two-tone option pairs a black back with your chosen seat colour, or have the back upholstered to match.

  • Fixed nylon armrests, 59.5cm high with a 52cm arm width. Slim, shaped and tough, folding round to the underside of the seat.

    Integral arms keep it neat

    The arms are part of the shell rather than bolted on, which looks tidier and means nothing works loose. We took the high back. Comfortable for a full day.
