Office Chair Mats
Office chair mats and cushioned anti-fatigue standing mats - kind to carpets, floors and feet alike.
Standing to work is only as comfortable as what you stand on. Anti-fatigue mats provide a cushioned, subtly responsive surface that keeps leg muscles gently active and takes the ache out of hard floors - the difference between standing for ten minutes and actually standing for an hour.
The category also covers protective office chair mats, saving carpets and hard floors from the daily grinding of a busy chair's castors. Both are small purchases that guard bigger investments: one protects the standing-desk habit, the other the flooring bill.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a chair mat?
On carpet, a mat is what lets a chair roll rather than plough, and it stops castors wearing a track into the carpet in front of every desk. On hard floors it protects the floor instead. If the chair is hard to move, the mat is usually the answer rather than new castors.
What size do I need?
Big enough for the chair to move through its working range without a wheel dropping off the edge, which is the thing that wears a mat out. The two here are 90cm and 120cm wide.
Will it damage the floor underneath?
These are the smooth-backed sort meant to sit on top rather than grip into a pile, so they lift off without taking the surface with them. On a soft or newly laid floor it is worth lifting the mat now and again to let it breathe.
How long does delivery take?
Standard delivery is free on everything, and most of it lands inside a week. Express delivery is offered on much of the range, priced per item on the product page, and gets an order to you within two working days if you place it before 5pm. Nothing here is made to order, so the lead times are the standard ones.
Do you offer installation?
Yes, on everything here. The crew deliver it, build it, put it where you want it and take the packaging away. It starts at £25.95 an item and the exact price is on each product page. Installs usually happen within about 10 working days, and the team agree the day with you rather than simply turning up.
Does it come assembled?
Most of it arrives flat-packed, with the instructions and fittings in the box. If you would rather not build it, pre-assembled delivery and installation are offered on much of the range and priced per item on the product page.
What warranty does it come with?
Each product carries the manufacturer's warranty and the period is stated on that product's page, often broken down by part: the structure for one length of time, the mechanism and the fabric for another. If something fails inside the warranty, report it from your order page and we deal with the manufacturer for you.
Can you quote for a whole office?
Yes. For twenty items or more, or anything with a complication like a mezzanine or a lift that argues back, we plan the job and give you one quote covering the goods, delivery and installation. Ring 0208 138 0512 or email [email protected] with a rough list or a floor plan.
