Refinement on a budget

Impulse has built its name on contract office furniture that delivers more refinement than the invoice suggests, and this table is the boardroom expression of that. The D-end shape seats people comfortably around the curved ends as well as along the sides, making the most of the 1800mm or 2400mm length and the full metre of depth. At 80cm overall height with 67cm of clearance beneath, it has a touch more presence than a standard desk without crowding anyone's knees.

A top that takes the heat

The 25mm thick top is finished in heat resistant melamine, so hot drinks and warm equipment leave no lasting evidence of the meeting, and the 2mm ABS protective edging keeps the perimeter smart through years of chair traffic. Six finishes cover the range from Beech, Maple, Oak and Walnut through Grey Oak to White, and the silver leg frame with its clean tip to toe lines suits every one of them. Height adjustments in the feet keep the whole table level on imperfect floors.

Power in the middle of the table

Specify the pop-up power option and the table arrives with an Impulse Round 120mm pop-up power unit and mains cable, fitted into a made to order central cut-out. It provides four individually fused 5A sockets, a 5W wireless charger, one USB-A and one USB-C port sharing 15.5W, an HDMI 1.4 connection and a CAT 6 data port, supplied with a 2 metre mains lead to a male connector and a 4 metre lead to a female connector with a UK plug on a 13A fuse. Everything a hybrid meeting needs, without a cable crossing the carpet.

    Proper boardroom table

    The D-end makes it far easier to see everyone than a plain rectangle. Leg frame is solid and there is no flex in the middle. Went together in an hour with three of us.
