The Eclipse XL Plus high back task operator office chair carries a 53cm wide, 47cm deep seat, several centimetres more sitting room than a typical task chair, on a 67cm square footprint that still tucks under a normal desk. Add a 125kg maximum weight capacity and you have an operator chair that suits broader builds and anyone who simply prefers not to feel perched. For shared desks and hot-desking, that extra width means the chair fits the next person as well as the last.

Adjustment where it counts

Gas height adjustment runs from 44cm to 56cm, a wider range than most, so shorter and taller users both get their feet flat on the floor. The high backrest adjusts through 57cm to 64cm, placing support exactly where your lower back wants it, and works as a permanent contact backrest, staying with you as you shift and lean. When you would rather fix your position, the seat and back angles adjust independently, and a tilt tension control matches the resistance to your build. It is the full set of task chair adjustments, minus any levers you would never use.

Arms and fabrics to suit

Choose the chair with no arms, fixed loop arms, height adjustable arms, or height adjustable arms that fold back out of the way when you want to pull fully under the desk.     The XL is worth it if you are tall

    At 6ft 4 I have given up on standard chairs. The XL back actually reaches my shoulders and the seat is deep enough. Best chair I have had at this money.
